Stress, boy have I felt this the past couple of weeks. Nursing school is awesome and I love it, but man is it hard!
Stress happens to everyone, we're human right? Between exams, clinicals, quizzes, papers, and managing that with everything else happening, it all becomes very overwhelming. I want to be a nurse more than anything so that is great motivation for me to put aside the stress, however it is still very much there! What helps me the most when I'm feeling stressed, (even better than a hot bubble bath) is reminding myself that all this is in God's hands.
Knowing that I'm not in control is honestly a true relief. God has a plan for me, He knows what is best for all of us. Even when stress gets the best of us and we are short tempered or upset, He will always provide. Jeremiah 29:11 says "'For I know the plans I have for you,'” declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
I know there are many different types of stress relievers such as eating, exercise, prozac and even bubble baths, but I can promise you that putting your faith in God, and knowing He will make it better is really the best therapy for stress relief.
